Bible:
Monday:
  • Morning Devotion: 
  • Teacher introduces a weekly Bible Story. (Jesus Walks on Water)
          Walking on Water 
  • Teacher introduces students to the weekly Bible Verse.
Tuesday:
  •  Morning Devotion:  
  • Teacher view and discuss powerpoints in the weekly Bible story.
  • Students rewrite the weekly Bible story in sequence.

  • Teacher discuss the weekly Bible verse with the children.

Tuesday:
  • Teacher reviews the three letter blends (Anchor chart)
  • Teacher/students decode words in Reading/Writing Workshop book pgs. 280-281

Reading: 
     Monday
  • Teacher introduce weekly high frequency words: before, front, heard, push, tomorrow, your, difficult, nobody
  • Student handbook workbook pg. 308
            
                Tuesday
  •  Teacher reviews how to find the theme within a story using a class anchor chart.
  • Teacher/students read and discuss the theme of the story.

         Wednesday
  • Teacher reviews inflectional endings (-ed and -ing) using class anchor chart.
  • Students complete worksheet (-ed and -ing)                   inflected ending -ed and -ing

              Thursday:
  • Teacher reviews finding “themes” within a story.
  • Teacher/students read and discuss the theme in the story “Lissy’s Friends” . (Student anthropology book pages 363-391
  • Students complete a worksheet on identifying clues and the theme of the story.
