Things you can do to Help Our Earth
  • Take a walk around your yard or neighborhood and pick up litter.  Remember to put on rubber gloves when picking up litter.  
  • Help take the trash and recycling bin to the curve.
  • Draw a picture of what you have learned about saving our Earth.

      Wow!  The children as well as their teachers are counting down to springbreak.  This week the children will be reviewing previous learned skills.  They will learn about the country of Ireland as they prepare for St. Patrick's Day.  We will celebrate St. Patrick's Day on Friday since we will not be in school on the 17th.  You will be receiving a notice telling you want you will need to send for our Tasting of the Green which will be Friday. 
      This week the children will work on the following skills:
  • Identify the country of Ireland and it's culture.
  • Continue to learn about the Solar System
  • Write narrative about Leprechauns.
  • Identify, decode, and read words with /oi/ and /oy/
  • Identifying the cause/effect within a story.
  • Identify the problem and solution within a story
  • Continue to work on ready for fluency and understanding.
  • Identifying final stable syllables
  • Identify and read high frequency words: above, build, fall, knew, money, and toward
  • Read and discuss the weekly Bible story: "Moses Sends Twelve Spies to the Promise Land".
  • Identify and discuss the weekly Bible verse:
