Week of May 8-12

Can you believe our last full week of first grade is here already?! We have only five full days and four half days left until our summer break! It is such a fun and busy time as we try to wrap up first grade.

This week we will be working on the following:

• Reading for comprehension and fluency
• Identifying and decoding words with -air, ear, and are
• Reviewing previously learned Math skills
• Addition with regrouping
• Butterflies and pollination
• End of the year memory books
• Summer words

This week's Spelling Words: summer, vacation, travel, beach, camp, hike, sunshine, cookout, sunscreen, swimming

If your child did not return his/her Library book on Friday, they are due ASAP! The Library has closed for the school year.

Calendar:

May 10  PARK DAY- Lee Victory Park in Smyrna

May 15-18 half days/dismissal at 11 am

May 17- Elementary Awards Day- 8:15 am in the MS Gym

May 18- Last Day Of School Party
