Week of February 10, 2020
We hope that you all of you had a fun and safe snow day. We feel that we all needed a day of rest. This week the children will start where we left off on Thursday. The children will have their reading, Bible, and spelling test on Monday.
The children will work on the following skills this week:
- Identify, decode, and read words with /ar/ sound in them.
- Continue to work on syllabication of words
- Continue to work on capitalizing proper nouns
- Identify point of view within a story.
- Continue to retell and rewrite stories in sequence.
- Continue to work on identifying the the main idea and key details of a story.
- Continue to work on learning about famous African American
- Read and discuss famous Presidents of the United State
- Identify Symbols of the United States
- Work on writing narratives about your child's African American that they will be on February 21st.
- Continue to work on addition of 3 addends
- Review addition/subtraction number facts
