This will be a very busy week since it is a 4 day week. It is important that you review your child's work daily and sign your child's binder daily.

Reading
- Reading for fluency and understanding
- Identifying the main details within a story
- Identify, decode, and read words with short/o/
- Phonemic Awareness drills
- Work on listening skills
- Put words in ABC order
- Continue to work on learning sight words. This week sight words are (fun, make, they, too)
Social Studies
(The children will begin a unit of study on map skills)
- Direction words (north, south, east, west)
- Identify and use symbols on a map.
Science
- Animal Habitats

Library
- Your child should be bringing home a library book. Encourage your child to read their library book and return it back to school as soon as they complete it.
- Your child is responsible for their library book. Help you child keep up with their library book . All lost books must be paid for before your child can check out another book.
