The month of March will be a very busy week as we prepare for our multicultural presentation and spring break. The children will have a lot of fun activities this month. I have been very proud of the entire class this week. They have worked hard to complete their work and do their best. Looking forward to another fantastic week.
The children will work on the following skills this week:
- Listening comprehension skills
- Phonemic Awareness substitution
- Identifying, decoding, and reading words with /ou/ and /ow/
- Identifying and reading and using the following high frequency words in their writing: color, early, instead, nothing, oh, through, scrambled, and suddenly
- Reading words with -er and -est
- Review addition/subtraction facts
- Solve addition/subtraction word problems
- Identify liquid measurement: gallon, quart, pint, cup
- Identify the planets in the solar system
- Continue their study of famous African Americans
- Read and discuss the Bible story "God Gives Manna to Eat"
