Week of March 27, 2017
The next few weeks will be very busy. We will be practicing for Grandparent's Day and reviewing and learning new skills as we prepare for the yearly achievement test. This week we will be working on the following skills:
- Identifying, decoding, and reading words with /ou/ and /ow/
- Reviewing long and short vowels
- Decoding and reading multi-syllable words
- Continue to review and learn new vocabulary words
- Write narratives about the moon and the sun
- Retell and rewrite stories in sequence.
- Continue to work on reading for fluency and comprehension
- Identifying and making a whole, 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4
- Identify even and odd numbers
- Continue to work on addition and subtraction facts
- Continue to work on addition/subtraction word problems
- Identify the sun and its function in the solar system.
- Identify what the duties of an astronaut
- Identify the moon and the moon phases.
