This week the children will begin a unit of study of famous African Americans as they prepare for a presentation on February 21nd. More information will be sent on this presentation later.
The children will begin preparing for the 100 Day of school this week. The 100 Day of school will be next Wednesday, January 29th. The children will work on activity to get ready for this special day. Information will be sent home this week of what they will need to bring to school for this celebration.
The children will also work on the following skills:
- Identify and make 3-D shapes.
- Identify types of clouds
- Predicting weather
- Identifying famous African Americans
- Write narratives about making a snowman and "If I Lived in a Snow Globe".
- Identify synonyms
- Retell and rewriting stories in sequence.
- Review prefix and use in their writing.
- Identify, decode and read words with long /o/, o-e, ow, oa,
- Continue to work on identifying the main idea of a story and key details.
- Read and discuss the weekly Bible story "God Protects Baby Moses"
- Read and discuss the weekly Bile verse. "When I am afraid I will put my trust in you." Psalm 56:3
