This week will be another busy week as we begin preparing for grandparent's day. There will be several new skills introduce for the first time this week in reading and math. Therefore, it is important that you review your child's work daily at home.
Below are some of the skills that the children will be working on this week.
- Reviewing sight words
- Identifying and decoding words with the short /o/ sound
- Continue to work on phonological rhyming
- Continue to work on phonemic deletion
- Identify the characters, setting, and main details within a story.
- Read and discuss the story of Cain and Abel
- Identify and locate the seven continents on a map
- Add numbers using with sums of 10 or less using a numberline
- Solve addition word problems with illustrations
- Put words in ABC order by first letter
- Write a narrative about their grandparents
