Week of May 6, 2019
Wow! I can't believe this is the last full week of school. We have a lot of fun activities this week and class work to do before we end the year.
The children will be working on their end of the year booklet. I will continue to give reading assessment on reading and writing skills. If you would like to see how your child did on their assessment contact me and schedule a conference. It will only take about 10 minutes. I will notify you when the yearly achievement test scores come in. Please talk to your child about listening, following directions, and following classroom and school rules.
Field day will be on Monday, May 6th. The children should all report to the classroom first. Parents are invited to come and enjoy the fun with their child. The children will have lunch with our class. Parents are welcome to join us. Children should bring a sack lunch with a drink. If you bought a lunch for your child they will pick it up in the lunchroom. Children can wear running clothes. Your child should wear a shirt with the field day shirt that they brought home on Friday. If your child will be leaving with you please check them out in the office before leaving.
The children will enjoy a fun day in the park on Friday. The first and second graders will be going to Lee Victory Park in Smyrna On Friday, May 10th.
